Breaking down the concept of Agile in atoms,

Our mindset of being successful has shifted over a period of time, today the definition of being successful is even more complex than earlier. It doesn’t simply lie entirely on the outcome, but, throughout the process and measuring the goals.

People of the universe are no longer outdated with their mindset.

Adapt eventually

When we start enjoying the process, the outcome is no longer the goal. In fact, the eternal learning out of chasing the goal is to make mistakes, learn from it and move on.

Technology Bubble

Evolution of storage

Technology is a constantly changing process to improve productivity. Past technology improved productivity and future tech will increase it more. This is inevitable.

Moral of the story — Being a part of technology it requires to learn from the past and keep creating better and better versions of solutions for the users.

This is where the organisations corrected themselves when they learned from their mistakes. In order to be better, they wanted to make sure they fail fast and stay competitive by adapting changes.

The process of failing fast is what “Agile” means.

Covid-19 trend, each of us experienced directly/indirectly.

In Software development approach,
1. to have regular interactions with the teams & stakeholders,

2. commitment to a more open understanding of scope that may evolve based on feedback from end-users;

3. and take an iterative approach to delivering the scope of work.

Today with the Agile methods, its even easier to execute in measurable terms and stay focused on the goals. By the help of “Sprint cycles”
Breaking work down into small sprints that deliver specific tasks within a short time, streamlining processes and encouraging focused production.

Agile- “To deliver in chunks”

This way of process is less riskier, even more convenient to deliver efficiency unlike, “Waterfall method” (an early method adopted by software developers).

Waterfall meant ‘to bite off more than one can chew’

Linear-Sequential Method — read more about Waterfall method.

This method made it all about completing deliverables to progress to the next phase. The flexibility remained low and zero adaptation since the goals and outcomes were established from the beginning.

Worse case scenarios for software developers, where every single decision got made up front and then changed later.

Software development in today’s rapid changing world requests for something “as adaptive as Agile.”

Collaboration with cross-teams and stakeholders narrowed down the work load and ensured, everyone picturises the common goals of the sprint cycles.

where as, Waterfall method is viable, for teams with a clear vision of where they are headed from start to finish and it’s a small project.

Waterfall method is Building like Bob.
